I was so excited when this came in the mail yesterday. My sister found it and after buying one for her Dodger fan hubby, she asked if any of us were interested in one as well. I think she ended up buying/shipping several for siblings. I told her I'm sure this will be Wayne's favorite Christmas decoration (since he cares so much about decor:):)). He opened it and I think I was right. He put it right up on top of our armoire along side the Patriots' helmet that will be there through the post season.
Now for my sweetest Dodger memory...I went to more than one Dodger game and had a blast every time, esp. chowing down on a Dodger dog. BUT, my favorite Dodger memory is sitting with my grandparents in the black vinyl chairs on wheels in the family room of their Bradbury house and cheering on the Dodgers while eating fresh green beans. My grandparents were great Dodger fans and whenever I think of the Dodgers I think of them and smile. My grandma would keep score and stats during games. In fact when my jr. high softball team needed parental volunteers for score keeping, I went to grandma first before my parents. I knew she'd be the best!
So, this nutcracker will be a real treat for me too and will bring back some wonderfully happy Dodger memories. Thanks, Sara! We love our Dodger Nutcracker!

I was in the Dodger Pepsi Fan Club when I was a kid! You sent in a dollar and 6 of those thingies inside Pepsi bottle capss and you got tickets to 6 games (and one of them was Fan Appreciation Night where they gave out lots of prizes), a t-shirt and a membership card. Oh, those were the days.
