Christina got wet at the Relay for Life with her friends and classmates on Team Egan in honor of their teacher who is currently battling breast cancer. If you've participated in something like this you know that rain or shine, people are happy to be there engaged in a good cause. Although the rain never let up, there was a great turn out for the RFL. What was remarkable, was the number of youth participating. I'm so proud of Christina for showing her support for Mrs. E through the RFL. Christina thinks the world of Mrs. E, and as a parent I feel like Christina couldn't have been given a better set of teachers, nor a better schooling experience coming into a new school in a new town. She's being looked after, no doubt about it. I am thankful for Mrs. E. and wish her a full healing.
Mrs. E. is in the red jacket with the baseball cap. Doesn't she look beautiful?! I was so happy to see her, give her a hug and visit for a minute. I am amazed that she is able to teach through chemo and that she honestly looked so beautiful and radiant. Mrs. E. was so appreciative of the support of the kids and the school. She is well-loved for sure.

I think it's great when kids get involved in things like this -- you're an inspiration, Christina. And I hope her teacher has a full recovery.
What an inspiring example for her class!
