Kids are back in school....Yippee!!! The kids were up EARLY on the first day; dressed and ready to go a good hour before departure.
Christina was excited to sport the new school clothes she bought with her summer babysitting $$, and to catch up with classmates.
Thomas was excited/had the butterflies as he started middle school.
It was only slight torture for one child to have the 1st day of school photo taken. Did I mention we have a teenager in the house?
Grace was more than eager to get back to school to see her friends, to see her old teacher, and to get back into her school groove....

Wayne and I both took Caroline to her first day of Kindergarten. She didn't shed a tear & walked tall to her new class. She's loving it!
Wesley and I discussed our new 1-1 time as we drove home.

What shall we do? Read? Play cars? Build a fort? Eat crackers? Do push-ups? Roar like a dinosaur? Go for bike rides? All of the above?
We'll take it day by day and enjoy the next few years before I'm HOME ALONE! I can't imagine. I don't have a countdown going by any means, rather my plan is to enjoy this fleeting time with my babe while it's here.

I'm enjoying my time alone with my 2 year-old too. Now I realize how fast it goes by. I love Christina's look! That just says it all.
Grace & Caroline couldn't be any cuter. LOVE Grace's style...she and Iz would LOVE each other. I'm so glad C loves 8th grade--it can be cruel! 5th grade is middle school? Or did Thomas skip a grade?
We have a lower middle school (5th & 6th) and an upper middle school (7th & 8th). Thomas just started 5th & took to the more mature atmosphere right away. He loves being taken more seriously than elementary school. ;)
Love the haircuts! What a fantastic looking crew.
I love Grace's dress -- do they have it in big girl sizes?!?
How funny is this--my kids, who have been in school since July 8--are now off track. Home until the end of September. (Sid started 8th grade mid August and so doesn't get to hang out with us "trackers") We are filling our days with getting a good start on the Halloween costumes, reading the Narnia books out loud to the twins and of course lots and lots of messy art projects and lots and lots and LOTS of TV.
Do enjoy this time with Wesley! I miss my little buddy Avery! I didn't even get a back to school pic of my teen.......oh well. I just love first day of school pics, everyone always looks their best!
Yay for the first day of school and 1-1 time with the little guys! Reddin and I are enjoying are time together right now! I am loving Grace and Caroline's haircuts! We are so excited to see you guys next week! Make sure you have some COOl weather for us!
