20 Things I Love about Autumn
1. Pumpkin Gingerbread (I add chocolate chips)
3. Snuggling in the big flannel patchwork blanket I made for my sweetheart.
4. A fire in the fireplace
5. Breathtaking foliage everywhere I go (I just wish "peak" season lasted much longer).

6. Soup! Since moving to New England I've become a huge soup fan. I love Legal's clam chowder and black bean soup.9. Apple Crisp
10. Cider donuts
11. Cramming those holiday projects in after kids are tucked in bed, hoping to be done before Christmas! A couple years ago I made a ribbon trimmed bulletin board for my niece, Lauren for Christmas. As I made it I thought of how my mom used to spoil Lauren (the 1st grandchild--my mom died in '92). My mom was visiting friends and said, "Do you want to see my new grandbaby?" and proceeded to unroll a poster size photo of Lauren asleep. We laugh about that to this day. So, as I sat there with my daughter making this ribbon bulletin board for Lauren, it was sweet to feel like I was doing what my mom would be doing were she here...spoiling Lauren (& all her grandkids).
12. Hot chocolate
13. Cozy turtleneck sweaters
16. Annual clambake at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA
17. Thankful hearts

So fun to read. I love how you've changed up your blog to match your style & panache! You'll love it like this when it's all printed out in book form. I'm going to start doing more of that on my posts so it's more of a scrapbook than just pictures thrown on a page. When I put frames around my pics I pull them into photoshop to do it...is that what you're doing? Love the frames you've found--are they the freebies on all those great sites (do you know about dollar days at funky playground designs?)
I'm going to put together a book for Christmas, but haven't decided what the theme will be...probably family vacations.
They recently had $1 days at Lettering Delights and that's where I got a bunch of fun fonts and a few bundles like the leaf border. I've found a bunch of freebies at various places. Haven't heard of funky playground designs...do I dare:):)
Yes, I'm using photoshop for all of the embellished pics. Between that and photo editing, it's a fun hobby! Too bad there's a house to clean too. LOL.
I love Autumn!! I always loved going to the place with the giant pumpkin mountain. I think it was on route 2 past the church (now that is really stretching my memory...to remember streets...I probably have the name totally wrong!! haha). FUN memories!
Julie, you got it right! The temple is essentially on Rte. 2 and there are a couple farm stands just past it on the way to Concord. I remember one having a huge pumpkin patch too. Good memory! You know you have a place to stay if you ever want to bring your crew back for a visit.
What a fun list! I really miss autumn back there! Enjoy it for me.
Autumn is my favorite season! I even love the snow, but only until Christmas (I'll give Autumn a few more days, just so it encompasses Christmas) but after that--I'm done with snow. I love the energy that comes from the leaves changing and the air getting cool. WIthout that boost I might never make it through the holidays. It really puts me in the mood to start a bunch of projects.
Great post, Becky! I love many of these things, too! Thanks for the link to the clam chowder recipe. Legal's is my favorite, so I'm eager to try this one during one of these cold days!
Driving west on Route 2 is one of my favorite things to do. And, I love (and miss) the "Fall Party". The Clambake is a fun Fall activity -- too bad it was at the church today instead of the beach!
Beautiful post/photos/decor/warm autumn wishes! I may have to "borrow" your idea for my blog. I love autumn!
I love Autumn too, even if we don't get the seasons here. We can't wait to come up there and have some awesome fall weather!
Fall is my very favorite season! I also love how your blog looks
