Lobstah!

Rain or shine, the AW Clambake is one of our favorite family Autumn traditions. Next year we hope the weather cooperates so we can meet up at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA -the PERFECT setting!  Thomas & Christina love the lobstah, but Grace, Caroline, & Wes have yet to venture past the corn on the cob, hot dogs, & watermelon. All of us enjoyed catching up with old friends
After the Clambake, we had another great, family-friendly activity called "Clean the basement."  No one had fun, but the job got done...pretty much.
After dinner, pj's, and such, I found myself with some reading buddies... Happy Dreams!

But what of the Chowdah?

Say it! Say it!--CHOWDAH!
(But the poor French waiter keeps saying "shou-DHER")

--Another brilliant moment brought to us by the Simpsons. That was a delicious post, Becca, but this comment was admitedly mostly for Wayne.

I went home and cleaned out my crawl space! Sames!! It was fun to see you at the Clambake. Too bad Wayne didn't get to ride his bike to Cranes Beach.

It was fun to see your family at the Clambake. I must comment about your adorable Wes. I probably already have, but his hair is to die for. Megan is eligible in about 20 years....

I miss the AW clambake! Thanks for the reminder that it's fall. I just realized that I haven't put out any of my fall deco.....I guess that's what happens when it's still 90 degrees outside.

I love reading your blog. Did you guys move? Evan and I don't recognize the surroundings in your pictures. I would love learning more about that! Reading your blog made me really miss fall in boston. I could almost taste and smell everything about it. I guess I will have to enjoy it through others. Thanks for the pictures, I really enjoyed it all.

I'm sad that we missed it this year! It was rainy and cold last year when we were there for it, and your kids totally cracked me up, by still getting in the water! Can't wait to see you guys soon!

Yummy! I love that tradition. Maybe one of these years we'll join you. BTW, I love those pics of you reading with the kids. Looks like good memory making to me!
