Each Monday evening before we have Family Home Evening, we have what we call "60 Seconds." Each child gets 60 seconds (more or less since we've never actually set a timer) of the rest of the family's undivided attention. Our kids have used their 60 seconds to sing, dance, pantomime, tell knock-knock jokes, play the piano, etc. After everyone has had their 60 seconds, Wayne and I get the kids' undivided attention for FHE. It's a great arrangement we've got, and to say our kids look forward to FHE and their 60 seconds is a huge understatement. Here's a peak at last Monday night's 60 seconds.

I LOVE this idea! We do a 'hot seat' where one member sits in the middle and everyone goes around and says what they love about them...but I love this 60 second idea of individual attention. We may need to give that one a try!
Hey Becky, so excited to see this...but I couldn't pull it up because it's a private video and you have to send friend requests out to see it. If you make it public we can all view it.
What a riot. And a great idea! So who was Thomas pretending to be?
ange, it's public...I hope you can see it now.
Em, Thomas was Joseph Smith.
GREAT IDEA!
What a great idea. Thanks for sharing with us! I'm still trying to figure out who the two prophets were.
I miss those awesome kids! Can't wait to see you all next weekend!!!
Super fun video! Mattie enjoyed watching it with me.
I love this idea and I think I am going to use it when Juliana gets older. Oh, and I love how they all got up and started dancing!
Becky I loved this. Our kids are definitely related and from the same mold. I loved Thomas' propher charades, Duh Joseph Smith! It was so easy to get. Ha ha ha, I had to read the comments to get the answer. Caroline and Grace were a crack up, Sam dances to that song all the time too. Grace remindes me of Sam, always laughing at his own jokes and she has an infectious laugh too. Christina is gorgeous and I love the massive head of hair Wesley has! So cute! Miss you guys and thanks for sending this along, we are going to start doing this for FHE too! What a great idea!
this is an unbelievable idea!
I want to be a Menzie!
great idea!! you are so full of GREAT ideas...keep sharing them so we can all try and be as awesome as you!!
This is an awesome idea! I think I need to borrow it.
What a great idea! I'm going to try that tomorrow.
We do a similar thing at dinnertime--high point, low point so everyone gets a chance to talk--you Have to set aside time like that! Love it that you video taped it so they can see their silly selves! Even Vivs loved watching your 60 seconds and screaming 'hi' at everyone.
