Wesley and grandpa

This is for Wesley and for all of the posterity of Great-Gma E.  I wish I spoke Swedish!  Translation anyone?

Thanks, Dad!

My brother went to Sweden on his mission; I'll send him the link!

Ellen -- good luck.
My mother learned it from her mother, but though she was raised in a home where it was spoken, didn't speak Swedish. By the time I came along, it was pretty garbled, I think. I can get "Vatter, Mutter" but I doubt that the rest is decipherable. In German, "Wehe, weha" (veya, veya at the beginning) would be 'look out, here comes trouble.' That makes sense, at least in German.

Phonetically, I would say it:
"Veya, Veya, shin. Vadder, mudder vil ha pelt, sin-a rayka in ha-telt, tri-ootum, tri-ootum."

Of course none of us could do it like mother.

That was so fun to catch the live version, and it's great to now have the video to remember. I hope someone out there can translate; otherwise, Dad's rough translation sounds good to me!
